The HWS Family Hardship Fund provides grant based support, purchasing essential goods and services on behalf of individuals in acute financial need across Worcestershire, Herefordshire and Shropshire. We do not provide cash.
Essential items we can help with
- White goods such as cookers, fridges, freezers, washing machines and tumble driers
- Travel passes allowing access to further education, training or work
- Tools required in order to be able to work
- Laptop computers and accredited training courses for adults seeking employment
We do not provide grants for leisure or personal items such as televisions or mobile phones.
Eligibility
To be considered for a grant you must be resident in Herefordshire, Worcestershire or Shropshire, demonstrate genuine financial need, and require an essential item available from a local supplier. Grants cannot be used to repay existing debt.
